Bed – Tuesday 4th June 2019

Bed

I’m happy to go to bed. I do it quite a lot. Wilma is confused about why she needs to be doing it quite so much. I don’t know what it is but our Mistress is having exactly the same issue with Wilma that she used to have with Wilma’s aunt, Megan. If she points to where she wants Wilma to go to bed then Wilma gets over excited, starts barking and then jumps up to grab our Mistress’s arm. It is not as though our Mistress uses pointing for any other command. Now our Mistress is trying to analyse all her own behaviours to understand what makes that so exciting.

She tried asking me, but quite honestly that was wasted as I’m happy to go to the bed she’s pointing to. I said maybe it was a girl thing, but Shadow said it wasn’t that exciting to her either so we’re lost.

Wilma’s ‘butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth’ face – Do not be fooled!

Feeling better

Thankfully, I seem to be feeling a lot better this week, so I’m looking forward to going swimming today. I was even quiet for most of yesterday, which our Mistress said made a very pleasant change. That’s the thing with dementia, I can no more explain why one day is good or another bad than the experts can and it’s my body.

What is really good news is that I told one of my relatives, who is a cat, about the wonders of turmeric. Given he was having dreadful problems with his back and legs he said he’d give it a go and it seems to be helping him too. I’ve got to say that it really is a very simple solution to a lot of problems. I wonder if we should put our Mistress on it too. I guess she can work out for herself if it’s a good idea.

Have a great Tuesday
