Travelling – 4th December 2018

Travelling

Well travelling can be tiring. I spent all of yesterday in the car and I shall be doing the same again today. Then you get Mum saying ‘We’re eating in the restaurant, Wilma’ and I get all excited, but was I part of the ‘we’? No I was not. Oh I sat in the restaurant and I was a good dog, but did I get to order steak? Did I even get offered a corner of the one Mum was eating? Ok, so she said you wouldn’t be able to chew it if you had dentures, but I don’t have dentures, so I’d have been fine. Now if I’m being totally fair, Mum did share the turkey sandwich she had at lunchtime – but I don’t want to be totally fair or even a little bit fair come to that. Mind you, to be frank I have had a touch of wind so it might be best that I don’t overdo things.

Excited

Now I’m getting excited about showing Mum’s friend around my homeland. Because this trip is all about her doing research for a book she has been taking loads of photographs so she remembers everything. I think that’s a great idea and have suggested to Mum she should take more photos. I’m thinking things like a picture of my bowl full of food so I can remember what that looks like instead of having to stare at an empty bowl for so long. Then one of my bedtime biscuit. That sort of thing. I could keep them all in an album to cheer me up when there is nothing to eat – sort of ‘pictures of better times’.

Dreaming of snow

We keep checking the weather forecast, but it is not looking promising. I really want some snow to play in while I’m away but I think we may have mainly rain. Mum has promised she will take me to try to find at least a little snow
