Bounce-a-lot
Little Bounce-a-lot is back. Of course if she catches me calling her that, I’ll be for it. But we’re all happy to see my mum bouncing again. We’re just crossing our paws that the rest of her pain will go and she might now have a run of good health.
Shadow went for her first walk in ages yesterday. Not going has been her choice. She went out in Switzerland just to the patch of grass she liked for going to the toilet, but only when she needed to and then turned straight round to go home. Yesterday she was happy to potter along for a bit of a sniff and find out what was going on in the world while she was away. She had her tail held high and a smile on her face.
Shrinking in the wash
I think my harness has shrunk in the wash. Our Mistress swears it has not been in the wash while she was away, but I can think of no other explanation as to why it wouldn’t fit me anymore. She’s let it out a bit and asked me if I was helping myself to Alfie’s food while we were away. Honestly, anyone would think she didn’t trust me. Thankfully Alfie’s looking pretty good, so I’m not in big trouble. I thought I could get away with it, but clearly that’s not the case. She’s talking about me going on a diet. Help! I like food. You’re going to need to send me emergency food parcels if she cuts down my portions.
Gardening
I did have a lovely day yesterday doing some gardening with our Mistress. We didn’t do anything very much, but we did cut the dead heads off the roses and water some of the plants. Our Master and Mistress have this thing where they count how many blooms they get on the roses in the front garden each year. We cut 110 dead heads yesterday, which even I thought was quite a lot. I like our time together. When we went back inside I went and gave her a cuddle again and gave her my ‘please don’t leave me again’ face. I don’t suppose it will work, but it’s worth a try.
