Pillow
All I am to Shadow is a pillow. It’s hard enough to get comfortable when I don’t have my usual bed, but it seems Shadow has found a solution to her problem. I am the solution. It was obviously Mum who took the photo rather than me. I simply couldn’t move or I’d have disturbed her.
Heading Home
Holiday with Dad is coming to an end and we’re now travelling back to our home in Switzerland. It’s good and bad. Shadow and I are ready to be able to relax somewhere we know the rules, but I’m going to miss being with Salvo and Izzy. We’re actually going to see them later in the week, so it’s not too bad. Mum says it won’t matter if we have a little bark as long as we don’t do it too much. She has got a bit fed up with us while we’ve been away. Shadow and I have been winding each other up.
Lake Lugano
Anyway, our last night was spent at Lake Lugano. Mum thought as the hotel was only about 6 miles off the motorway it wouldn’t be too bad a journey. She was wrong. That last 6 miles was pretty much straight up a mountain. Oh there were good views when we did get up there, but the getting there was worrying to put it mildly. Then what happens when we do get there? Do we go for a nice mountain walk? No! Dad wanted to watch the football. Mum said it was probably best as Shadow has been finding the heat too much and wanted to have a quiet rest in our room. There was just one tiny problem. There was a footpath which went right past the window of our room and we spent some of the time feeling the need to guard it. It didn’t make us popular!
