Mini-break
Well I’m writing to you from the comfort of kennels, where I’m having a mini-break. It’s removals day today, not helped by our Mistress being ill. She talked to us about the move and asked if we’d prefer not to have to spend our day getting in the way. As far as I was concerned it was an easy choice. I find having strangers in our house very distressing these days. Shadow, would have stayed as she wanted to spend her day directing operations. Our Mistress said that was precisely why she was joining me and not being given the choice.
Aristotle says he’s easy either way, but then he says that about most things. Our Mistress said he’d get more fresh air and exercise here so he came too. Wilma, goody four-paws, Wilma, would not leave our Mistress’s side and said someone had to be there to look after her, so she has stayed.
The day ahead
My day ahead is well planned. I’ll be sleeping a fair bit and going out and getting lots of fresh air too. I do like it here. I’ve been coming since I was two, so they all know me quite well. They know that some things distress me… such as Aristotle! They feed me on time and make sure I’m ok. If I can’t be at home, there’s nowhere I’d rather be. Aristotle shares with Shadow when three of us are here and I get a kennel to myself. I prefer it that way – much to the annoyance of Shadow, who says she’d prefer it that way too.
The biggest problem is if we hear our Mistress’s car drive past outside. We all think she’s coming to pick us up and get excited. I suppose there are times that can’t be helped.
I just hope Wilma remembers to keep an eye on my bed to make sure that doesn’t get packed by mistake. That would really upset me. I do get very attached to my things.
