Normally it would be Alfie sending you a Christmas message, but he’s taking a few days off so I just hope I’m up to the job he’s given me.
Wilma’s Christmas Message to Dogs and Humans Far and Near
None of us really knows the load another dog or person is carrying. If a kind word or a gentle lick from you can go some way to help, then it is more valuable than any present you might give. If a word of encouragement can help another to tackle a problem that seems too hard, it will cost you nothing and yet provide them with riches. It doesn’t matter if we are a millionaire or have nothing, we can all afford kind words and consideration for others.
Christmas is a stressful time and it’s all too easy, in the tiredness and hassle of it all, to forget that those around you may be having a harder time than you are. Take time today, and every day to think of how you can improve the lives of those around you. I can guarantee that if you do that you will find a little of the Christmas magic comes your way every day as you find that in doing and saying those little things your life will seem lighter and easier too.
The world has many many problems, but the good news is that you don’t need to be one of them. Oh you might pull on the lead now and then, however taking the time to think about others and show them you care might seem like a little thing, but it will actually make a very big difference. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone did that?
So that’s my message – take time today for a kind word and a loving lick to all around you, not just to those you’re close to, but to the Jack Russells and the Pugs, the Spaniels and the mongrels and even the cat down the road that really winds you up.
Happy Christmas to you all
Love from
Wilma and of course Alfie, Aristotle and Shadow as well.
