Well today’s post must start with a thank you to Jen who has taken me up on the challenge to sponsor me £10 to walk a mile for Heidi. Thankfully I’m feeling better than I was last week so I’m going out later today to take on the challenge. It’s not so easy at my age but I’m ready to do it for Heidi. There’s still chance to sponsor my efforts and I’ll bring you some photographs tomorrow. The Just Giving page is HERE.
Yesterday Shadow set off on her leg of the walk, she’s aching today. She has had to break hers into two parts as it was very tiring for her and she’s doing the rest today. Dogs also set out in London, Berkshire, Bristol and Bedford and walked the first hundred miles of the 552 mile journey. There are more walks today including mine. You can read about where the walks yesterday took the challenge to HERE.
It’s the last day of peace and quiet at home for a while. Our Mistress finally seems well enough to collect Wilma and Aristotle from kennels. Hopefully she can now start building up some strength by taking them on their walks for Heidi too. I have to say that after a shaky start, I have got quite used to being able to relax with no other dogs to bother me, so it is going to be a bit of a shock to the system, but I know our Mistress is looking forward to them being home. On the bright side, it will mean I don’t have to work every day and I can hand some of the writing back to the rest of the team. Aristotle is in for a shock as his favourite chair has gone to the tip in his absence. I really don’t know what he’s going to say about it, but it isn’t going to be good.
I’m going out to do some stretching exercises ready for my walk.
Wish me luck
Alfie
