Oh it’s so exciting. Mum and I are going on holiday today. Just the two of us. We’re going to so many places and I can get to tell you all about them. Today I’m going to see my favourite boy in the whole world. I met Leo for the first time last weekend and was just bowled over. Mum has managed to arrange for me to go to see him on our way today and I couldn’t be happier.
Anyway, we spent yesterday trying to get everything done for leaving Dad and Andrew to fend for themselves. You wouldn’t believe the lengths Mum ends up going to. Shadow has been tasked with taking care of them, but there’s only so much she can do. She hasn’t mastered getting food out of the freezer yet for example. It’s not a job you can delegate to Aristotle as although he can probably do it, they would never get to see the food.
The packing has been interesting as although we have the whole car to ourselves, we’ll be bringing back one of my nieces and her human so we can’t take up all the space. I have asked if I can bring Heffelump, so I can continue my nightly ritual of running round the bedroom squeaking him before I get into bed, oddly Mum has said ‘No’. I even promised I wouldn’t squeak him on the whole road trip, but that wasn’t enough.
The part of the trip I’m not looking forward to is going to see the heart specialist on Friday. It’s not that I’m worried about what he’s going to say about my health. It’s because I can’t have any breakfast before going and that’s going to be impossible to deal with. Ah well, hopefully I shall get extra after I’ve been.
Watch out world, I’m on my way.
Love Wilma

Thank you. I’ve not started well. I was sick this morning, but I think it might be the excitement. Either that or the carrot peelings.

Hi Wilma, I went to dog show today and came 3rd so I am ready to go to Crufts next March. Buddy was there with his Dad and Gethin and he came 2nd and we saw Basil and Robyn and her Dad. We had to get up really early as we were first in the ring at 9.30am. Would you believe it I saw a Boxer called Wilma! not as pretty as you. She tried to give me a wash!!!! Hope you are feeling better in the morning and we look forward to reading about your great adventure to Switzerland. Love from us all Dickens X
Oh well done to both you and Buddy. It sounds awfully early though.
