Friday 19th May 2017 – We’ve found another one

More to the point, another one has found us. An Entlebucher has recently moved to the UK with her family. She’s eighteen months old, but I think her human family are a bit older. Anyway, that means there are now 81 of us. You wouldn’t believe how excited our Mistress got about that.

On the subject of excitement you’d have laughed seeing our Master winding Wilma up the other night. He was playing hide and seek by hiding under the duvet. It took Wilma a moment to figure out what was going on, at which point she launched herself at the gap and buried her way under the covers. There was much hilarity as she started jumping on him under the covers and our Mistress decided to stay well out of the way to avoid being hurt. You would never think he was the same man who said I should sleep downstairs when I was a puppy and would not be allowed in the bedroom. There is something about our Wilma that breaks down everyone’s last barrier. Even those most hardened of cat lovers seems to fall in love with Wilma. She always comes up smiling her beguiling smile and everyone she meets is enchanted. I’m so lucky that she’s my dog.

Our Mistress is trying to dry the summerhouse out so she can put bitumen paint on the roof felt. The problem at the moment is that as quickly as she can dry it out it rains on it and she has to start all over again. We will have two dry days together eventually although I do worry that the several weeks of dry weather will be all we have this year!

Today our Mistress will be busy preparing for our breeding test tomorrow. I have offered to help with the food, but she seems to think that I would be getting in the way, I can’t think why. Tomorrow Wilma will go with her for some of the time, but I’m planning a quiet day at home.
