I know I get stressed if I go anywhere, but I am envious of Wilma. This weekend she’s off to see my grandparents and my girlfriend, all in the same weekend. I’d love to see my girlfriend, but I think it could only happen now if she came here to visit me. Obviously, I’d love to see my grandparents too, but they do come up here sometimes so it is not so long since I saw them. It means we’ve got another weekend of looking after our Master, but that’s not so difficult. All we have to do is guard the crisp cupboard so he doesn’t eat too many and stand in front of the fridge when we think he’s had enough beer. Ari goes for more direct action and tries to drink the beer when our Master is off guard. The bottles thwart him, but he does fine with a beer glass or a wine glass. I think our Master is planning a quiet weekend painting the model aeroplane he’s building. The advantage of doing it when our Mistress isn’t here, is that she doesn’t get to see the mess until it’s all over and most of it cleared away. He wants to get an airbrush to paint it with, but she says she might prefer that not to take place on our dining table. She’s worried he will get it everywhere, a bit like the wall by the back door which is splattered in mud from us all shaking dry after we’ve been outside. As you can imagine, we’re all on our Master’s side as it helps to take the focus on the mess we’ve caused. Our Mistress has pointed out that it would be helpful if we could clean up after ourselves once in a while, but that’s not going to be happening anytime soon, at least not with Wilma in the house.
