Well, here I am another year older and I’d like to think another year wiser, but I doubt the latter. Thank you all for the birthday greetings, they were very much appreciated. I had an email from my sister Esther, it was lovely to hear from her. I love that she keeps in touch even though she never liked me all that much. The only consolation is that it looks as though she is much greyer than I am. There are seven of us living here – four dogs and three humans, and strangely all our birthdays fall in different months, so there is always someone’s birthday to look forward to. It will be my Master’s next, but his gets a bit confused with Christmas, with being the day after.
It’s swimming today and Aristotle has said that I can go again if I’d like to. His legs aren’t doing too badly at the moment, so he’s happy going for a short walk each day instead. Our Mistress has said I can go this week but then he really needs to go next week as she doesn’t want him starting to get lazy. As if, one of us would get lazy! Both he and I do enjoy a good snooze and relaxing in comfort but we’re toned and ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice. At least we are mentally if not physically.
Our Mistress had a go at playing her keyboard for the first time in probably a year or more. She said it was funny how her fingers still knew what to do even though her head seemed to have forgotten. I find that with general day to day things. My body still knows what to do even when my mind is off somewhere else. I guess it’s a good job at least some of me is in control.
