Saturday 17th September 2016 – You have to be in it to win it

Next Saturday I’m going to be running a competition to win free tickets to Discover Dogs at the Excel Arena in London on 22nd and 23rd October. Today I’m going to give you a bit of a preview of what it’s all about.

Twice a year Discover Dogs gives you the opportunity to meet almost all the dog breeds in the UK. That’s a lot of dogs. There are some like me, I’m one of the working group of dogs and then there are the little pretty ones you can carry around and fall over as well as everything bigger, smaller, long and short coated and so on. You can get up close and personal with all of them, as long as their human says that’s all right. Some of us like it more than others. It’s a great family day out, although best to leave the cat at home as she might not think it’s quite so cool! Under 12s can meet us all for free and adults can buy their tickets in advance

It’s not just about meeting the dogs. There is also the Scruffts semi-final, world-class agility, and more canine demonstrations. Best of all there are stalls selling lots of exciting things for you to take home and treat your pets with.

I know that with about 200 dog breeds there you might get a bit distracted, but I’m sure you’ll find time to make your way to see the rest of my family and friends on the Entlebucher stand. I won’t be there myself, but there’s a chance that Wilma will do. She’s trying to persuade our Mistress to take her for a day out in London so she can report on events on the day for Alfie. Anyway, if you can be patient a week I shall run a competition next Saturday with two pairs of tickets to give away absolutely free. It really will be a wonderful day out.
