Today’s diary is a simple bit of fun to help you decide whether an Entlebucher is the right dog for you. I’m going to put this somewhere as a permanent page too as it might help others to make their mind up in the future. Sorry Alfie – I fell at the first hurdle. I will just have to save up my dog-spoiling for when I see you. Can you tell your mistress I will try and get up in the summer? X

– Do you want to (and can you?) have (master?***) a dog that knows – or at least makes the impression of being very sure of – what you want before you even know it yourself?
If not – buy a Teddy bear. Or any sleeping bag dog as a Golden R or a Labbie
