D’Artagnan is getting the hang of the grass

It’s early days but D’Artagnan has of his own choice both pooed and peed on the grass today. Dixie on the other paw is learning the words ‘No, Dixie’ as she was sitting in the box trying to eat the grass! They have had a fairly quiet day today, probably driven by having eaten so much and needing to turn it all into growing. It’s not been so quiet at meal times when they’ve been listening to noises of children playing, aeroplanes, crowds, storms, tractors and fireworks. Our Mistress will keep playing those to them, along with the other noises she has, over the coming days so they get completely used to them. She will increase the volume in a few days too with the aim of them not being bothered by anything.

D’Artagnan enjoying blanket time

D’Artagnan has been enjoying his first blanket time and said he was delighted with his blanket as it’s very cosy. Dixie is going to have some time with hers this evening. It’s all ready for her after tea. The others are now eagerly discussing what theirs will be like and hoping they will be nice and snuggly too.

Our Mistress has started putting together their folders ready for them going off to their new homes. She sends them home with as much information as she can to help their new humans as well as photos of our mum and their dad so they can look at what they are like as they get older. Hopefully they will see Mum from time to time but I guess they may not get chance to meet their dad, which is a shame.
