It’s not a bad life being a puppy. Your food is always on paw and then you just go back to sleep. When you wake you demand more food and then just continue in that way for the rest of the day. Oh I know that growing takes a lot of effort and believe me they are definitely growing. I’ve managed to set the camera up at a different angle today so you can see them all a little better. I love the way that as they get bigger their little tails wag from side to side as they are eating. It’s one of the ways our Mistress can tell if they have found the milk or not. In a few days you should be able to see the little white tips of their tails going in unison, which is quite mesmerising to watch.
It was a good day for me. Our Mistress managed to get cover for the pups so she could run some errands and at the end of it there was still time to take me for a walk in the sunshine, which I think did us both good. Except to the vet she hasn’t left the house since last Friday and to be fair I hadn’t even been as far as the vet!
Aristotle is coming home tomorrow and says he can’t wait to meet the rest of the family. It will be a little while before Shadow really wants us all around the puppies, she’s still very protective, but another couple of weeks and we’ll be nose to nose on a much more regular basis.
Shadow says she feels very proud of this litter as it appears to be the most perfectly marked of any of the litters she has had. It will be interesting to see how they change over the next few weeks.
