You just wait until you see the vet bed that our Mistress has bought for Shadow as a special present for this litter. All I can say is, I hope they are all girls! She has a big piece of pink bedding with little paw prints on. I can see it is cute, but it’s not the sort of bedding to bring stud dogs up on – not unless you want them getting in touch with their feminine side. Anyway, our Mistress has been through all the medical supplies to check if anything is needed and if anything is out of date. She has ordered a few bits and pieces like sterile cotton wool and forceps. It’s the sort of stuff that isn’t very exciting but best to have handy. She still has to prepare for if any puppy feeding is needed. There is a special formula she will make up and have ready in the freezer in case it is needed, but that is a job for the next couple of days.
I was delighted to pass on the information to Aristotle that you can actually get dog umbrellas, at least if you live in the US. And they seem to work much as he was suggesting. Thank you to the lovely reader who wrote to tell us. Our Mistress has refused to try and import one for him so now he’s asking if I’ve got any pocket money left.
Our Mistress’s fire making skills seem to be very rusty. She decided it was time to start lighting the wood burner but I’m afraid her first attempt went out leaving us all complaining. She blamed the wood, but as it had been indoors for a while I think she might need to come up with a better excuse.

Hy Alfie, I would loved to see Ari with his umbrella. maja
Perhaps he will have to have it delivered to friends in America and sent to him so he can try it. x
Just took a look at the dog umbrella, not happening. I would prefer to keep my dog, she’d take off in a stiff breeze up here.
Ari says he’d like to come with his camera to see his sister try that! Have a woofly day.
