Shadow is not enjoying her holiday that much so far. She says she’s much too hot and she’s fed up of people sticking needles into her. She went for a second progesterone test yesterday at her usual vet in Switzerland. Even though it was the lovely vet she’s known for years, and who helped her when her chip failed, she still barked at him and said she really didn’t want it. Once that was out of the way they all went to see our friends and our Mistress had a lovely cuddle with Tosca who is hoping to be the mother of our new puppy. She’s not due to give birth until 5th August so there is a long way to go yet. Her housemate Beija will have her litter before that. Her puppies are due at the end of next week so they are all going to be very busy. Whilst she was there our Mistress also got to talk to Megan’s human and see how she was and send her love. She gave Megan’s sister a cuddle too as she lives with our friends. Our Mistress said it was lovely to see Megan’s sister as their coats are very similar and it reminded her of cuddling Megan. When Tosca has her puppies it will be our friend’s Z litter. Now if you think we’re only up to D, that’s quite a lot of litters. They talked about what our Mistress would like to call the puppy and she said ‘Zena-Boadicea’ – what a name? She really wants to call her Boadicea but there has to be a Z bit first so our Mistress thought it would be good to continue the whole warrior theme. I don’t know what Shadow’s going to say about having a girl with such an auspicious name to contend with!
