Monday 6th July 2015 – Duvet Day

01aa8a661c5caad0617a6b99a72af62eb69abbbe47Yesterday was definitely a duvet day. While our Mistress got up and made a start on the day I went back to bed – just not my own bed. I went to join our Master and make the most of somewhere warm and comfortable. They had planned to go cycling – again! But our Mistress thinks she has an infection where she had a tooth out on Friday and is feeling a little sorry for herself to put it mildly. She has to ring the dentist today. We just stayed in bed listening to the crow pecking at the window and hearing other birds singing. It wasn’t a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.

Up to yesterday Shadow had still not started her season so the good news is that our Mistress is around for our breeding test and Fun Day. Of course if she starts today it will mean them setting off the following morning, but that is more convenient than it being any later so our Mistress says. That probably means that Shadow will continue to hold on for a while, just to maximise the impact.

After discovering his liking for beer, Ari has been asking if he can go with the humans the next time there is a beer festival at the pub. I think he might be a bit of a liability if he goes round helping himself to the pints of anyone and everyone. Let’s be honest. Ari is a bit of a liability at the best of times without giving him the opportunity to get too close to alcohol!

I would have liked another duvet day today but everyone has got up to do to work and it really isn’t the same on my own. I guess I’ll have to show willing and stay in the office for the day.
