Friday 29th May 2015 – Indoor Scarecrows

Now I’m losing patience here. I’m a very reasonable dog, but even my calm can be tested by the crow. The teddy bear indoor scarecrows are not doing their jobs. Oh they might be called scare ‘crows’, but they are doing anything but scare them. I think they may even be coming specifically to visit them. It was 5.18 am. Now be reasonable. I know I’ve been getting my Mistress up early because I need the toilet, but even I have been managing to sleep a little later the last few days, or I had until the crows got in on the act. I’m wondering if I should get the Father Christmas decoration out that can be hung on the outside of the building and put it out on the porch to see if that works. I know it’s not Christmas, but I think I could be forgiven for appearing optimistic when the only present I want is for the crows to stop trying to break in.

Having said all that, I think I need to be a little worried as I found our Master looking up recipes for cooking game and asking whether Crow would count and how best to catch it. I’m not sure that’s something I should be encouraging. Whilst it might solve the problem there must be a better way.

I was fed up that Shadow went to see my girlfriend yesterday on her way on holiday. I would have liked to be there and besides Shadow would be much better at dealing with the crow. I miss Bella. It’s not even as though she and Shadow really get on. I was pleased to hear that my Mistress’s goddaughter, who is Bella’s housemate. Is doing well. I just wish I could have been there to nuzzle her.
