I had a lovely quiet day at my grandparents, while Shadow and Ari went to fun day. Shadow was very good and understood she just had to watch, but Air had a great time. There was quite a few of our breed there and Ari took a shine to the youngest little girl, Beatrice who’s only a few months old. He saw two of his brothers and one of his sisters and they were all pleased to see each other. He was disappointed that he didn’t win any of the games, but I reminded him it was the taking part and not the winning that counted. What made it so good was the weather was simply great yesterday. It must be the warmest day we’ve had this year and that always makes you feel better. I was thrilled that one of the girls there wants to read my diary as a paperback so I’ve made my Mistress promise to help me convert it from being an ebook. She says she will add it to the list and do it as soon as she can. They also played ‘Alfie Says’ which is like ‘Simon says’ but for dogs and named after me, which I thought was rather lovely.
Everyone’s tired today so I suspect it will be a nice quiet day. I’m not sure if that means the vegetable trough building will be finished but if not they are going to be taking root in the kitchen. At least we can walk between the legs. It’s quite inconvenient for the humans having to work their way round them every time they want to get to the fridge, cooker or sink! The idea of bringing them indoors is not looking quite as bright at this stage as it was!
