Today I am mostly going to be reading yesterday’s budget in order to bring you the official Pet Dogs Democratic Party response. It’s not as bad as it sounds as it will be interspersed with significant napping and to be fair I do find reading these things helps me go to sleep more quickly. Shadow seems to have finally got the hang of needing to rest and she has taken my spot under the desk, but that means I can have the kitchen and front room to myself, so it’s not all bad. I know that means I’m not with my Mistress but I had a nice cuddle in bed first thing and I do find that as long as I get that I feel a lot more balanced through the day.
Aristotle and I did a meet and greet last night with some people who are hoping to have an Entlebucher as part of their family. Shadow was told she couldn’t take part, which she wasn’t happy about, but she just can’t stop herself bouncing with excitement. We on the other paw, couldn’t stop ourselves barking with excitement!
Our Mistress is definitely feeling that spring is in the air and is starting to get the vegetable growing well under way. After planting the parsnips last weekend she has also bought a new cover for her mini-greenhouse so she can start the squash off in pots and has some new troughs arriving to go on the patio to plant up in a few weeks’ time. She bought the table troughs not because it was easier on her back, which of course it is, but to stop us eating the vegetables and fertilizer. As if the thought would ever have crossed our minds! Well, all right then , maybe it did a little bit. Ari of course is now devising a scheme to enable him to climb up to the higher level. Putting the trough near the sun loungers may prove to be a mistake.
