As long as I’m good I’m going on my favourite walk today. It will probably be a bit muddy, but I’ll cope with that. Of course being good is not something I find particularly easy, but I’m going to try really hard.
Alfie heard that one of his sisters has had to have an operation to remove a melanoma and asked if I could send her his good wishes for a full recovery. Get well soon Esther. I can’t imagine how I would feel if any of my brothers or sisters had anything serious. Mum surprised me by telling me about my Uncle Freddy who had died before he was even my age. How hard that must have been for his family. I didn’t get to know him, but Mum says there are ways I remind her of him. She says my Uncle Rocky is coming to live back in Europe again and maybe we can get to see him. I’ve never known any of my aunts and uncles before so it sounds really exciting. It must be nice to grow up close to your extended family. Mind you, next Sunday I shall get to see some of my very extended family as it’s our Fun Day and I shall meet up with lots of other Entlebuchers. I can’t wait. I’m ready to do a bit better in some of the games now as we practiced some obedience after the last fiasco. I still don’t do fetch, with my bad legs I’m not allowed to, but I will, in theory, now lie down or sit when asked to… as long as my Mistress remembers to say ‘please’ and give me a biscuit for my troubles! Sometimes I raise the stakes to two biscuits or one bigger one, but you have to be able to negotiate these things.
