It’s Ari here and I’ve got some important things to tell you. Firstly, Mum (Shadow) went off for her scan yesterday and it wasn’t good news. Sadly she is not pregnant. She clearly knew as she didn’t bother watching the screen this year. Our Mistress hated having to disappoint the people who were hoping to have one of her puppies by telling them the news. She said that was almost worse than having to talk to my Master about all the summer plans she won’t be able to be part of. Not only that but if Shadow goes for 26 weeks to her next season it is likely to mean our Mistress spends her 50th birthday sleeping on a mattress on the floor of the utility and waiting for the puppies to arrive. As I pointed out to her, at least that would be cheaper than a party. She has taken Alfie to see his girlfriend again this weekend so she can have a baby cuddle with her god-daughter. At least that will cheer her up a bit. Shadow is fed up as she says she needs cheering up to, but I pointed out that as she already knew that was hardly fair. Secretly, I don’t think mum was ready to stop being the centre of attention so wanted to string things out a bit.
For some reason we are being bombarded with lovely things to give away. Alfie has made me promise not to mention that he will be giving way free tickets to Crufts. I think he wants to tell you all about that himself on Monday, so please don’t say I told you.
