Our Mistress is away with Alfie so I’m at home kicking my heels. I’m not so good at the whole boredom thing, I tend to make mischief to compensate. Shadow and our Master are thoroughly fed up with me so I wondered if you’d like to entertain me. Don’t forget to email me to win your own free Pawsome Box (you can see what I wrote yesterday for all the details). With being so busy telling you all about that yesterday I didn’t tell you how Alfie got on at the vet. He’s got a lump in his neck and it’s deeper than the other fatty lumps he’s got and feels a bit different. Anyway, he’s going in on Wednesday to have a biopsy. He’s got to be sedated for it to happen as there are lots of important bits in that part of the body so it’s hard to get a needle into it without him being completely still and shaving the fur off so they can see what they are doing. He’s asked if they can take the wart off his nose while he’s already sedated so if nothing else he’ll be back to his old handsome self when he comes home. Apparently he was very good when he was waiting for his appointment at the vet. He had to wait longer than normally as they had a very sick cat to look after and then a lady came in and put her cat basket (with a cat in it!) on the floor right next to Alfie. He said he’s never sat that close to a cat before and they were next to each other for about twenty minutes. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to have a good sniff, but didn’t want to get too close. In the end he just sat quietly next to the cat and left it to the cat to speak first. Of course, being a cat she didn’t say a word to him and probably thought she was above him in the pecking order, but that’s cats for you.
