Well tomorrow is measurement day, but her coat is certainly looking pretty good. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything as her hormones will go through much the same cycle whether she is pregnant or not, but it is looking particularly glossy and thick, which has given our Mistress a brief moment of optimism. We’re going to measure her again tomorrow but it will be Wednesday before I’m able to tell you the results of that.
We’re all fed up with the windy weather, but looking on the bright side, at least it is not snowing! It’s weird. The thermometer keeps saying things like 7 degrees but then it feels much colder when I go outside. The bin blew over several days ago, but our Mistress says there really is no point picking it back up yet. At some point she needs to go round the garden picking up all the garden waste that was all on a bag ready to go to the tip and which is now back where it started before it was cleaned up. It’s like a massive job creation scheme – at least nothing very dramatic has happened.
I’ve been much better since I went swimming last week. It’s funny how it gets everything working right. I’ve got to go again tomorrow but I don’t mind too much. After that I should be back to going every two weeks so that Ari can have his turns. He and I have been getting on better recently. We even curled up together to go to sleep yesterday morning. He likes to have someone to snuggle up to. I prefer my own space. He usually cuddles up to his mum, but she was in the other room, so I didn’t complain when he decided to share the settee with me for once. We were back to back, so it didn’t feel too intrusive.
