Aristotle writes:
It’s the weekend and it’s my turn again. I’ve been looking forward to coming back and telling you about my brothers and sisters. I’ve heard from quite a lot of them now so I’m spoilt for choice, however this weekend I will tell you about 2 from the ‘C’ Litter – they are nearly a year old now – well, eleven months if you’re being picky.
Cinderella was the first pup of the litter, born just before midnight. This is what her owner says:
‘She is doing really well, she loves swimming (anyone would think she was a Labrador, she can sniff out the water from miles away!), and has recently learned the art of squirrel chasing from two of her Lurcher buddies Bracken and Scrabble! She passed her bronze behaviour award with a distinction so is now going to start a doggy sports class to learn Bleibball and Flyball. We are off to Brugges with some friends in a couple of weeks with her so she can see the Christmas markets. Then in the new year we will start with all her health tests so in the future she can hopefully have her own pups!’
How exciting is that, she’s hoping to have her own puppies! See you soon Cinders and don’t be too mean to the squirrels, we watch them from our office window and of course one of them appeared in Alfie’s book ‘Alfie’s Woods’ so he’s got a bit of a soft spot for them.
Anyway, you will be pleased to hear that the delivery arrived yesterday so the dog food delivery is not in jeopardy. The only problem was that the box was badly damaged so there was a little damage inside too, but that’s not so likely with our food so I think we’re ok. Oh, and disappointingly there is no news on the pantomime mouse. It hasn’t been seen since last week so everyone is wondering whether it has given up treading the boards or if it has just been waiting for its star moment. I’m backing it to come out on the final night and take a bow!
