I’m a little fed up that Aristotle had all the excitement of telling you about the pantomime mouse, but I suppose it serves me right for wanting weekends off. I did have a relaxing time and feel almost ready for it to be Monday again. Our Master and Mistress are now half way through the pantomime run and it seems to be going very well. This photo was taken of them back stage waiting to go on. I think you can tell which is which, my Master is Captain Hook and my Mistress is Minnie Ha Ha. The Mouse didn’t make an appearance on Saturday so it’s either saving its energy for the few days gap before the next show or it’s learnt its lesson – never mess with a crocodile, even if it is only a pretend one!
Thankfully Shadow’s season has not started yet, so it looks as though the pantomime will not have been a problem and once it does start my Mistress needs to be ready to go. That means that she needs to get everything else done so she’s ready. Yesterday was a big Christmas shopping day – fortunately it included us as most of it was done while sitting at the computer. My Mistress does not like shopping and absolutely hates crowds so as we live 15 miles from the nearest shopping centre she feels perfectly justified to shop online even if there is the occasional delivery charge. Now she just has to hope that the postman can deliver them all before she has to leave with Shadow. The next step is to decide when to put the winter tyres on the car, but it’s still too warm really. I wonder if she will be home at Christmas – I do hope she is, it won’t be the same without her.
