Friday 7th November 2014 – A Growing Force

I am delighted to say that the Pet Dogs Democratic Party is a growing force. Having only started our Facebook page a couple of weeks ago, we are already up to over 100 ‘likes’ and are growing daily. I’m working on setting up the internet page but it’s harder than I thought and I’m waiting for my Mistress to have some time to work out the bits I’m having problems with. Actually, yesterday I became aware of a new issue that I’m going to have to add to my manifesto. It is outrageous that VAT is charged on pet food and not on human food. We are just another type of animal and need to eat to stay alive. It’s not as though we eat out in fancy restaurants all the time with waiter service, in fact most of our food is served cold in a dish, straight from the sack or tin. How can it be fair that we pay VAT when you don’t?

My Mistress is still working at putting everything back in the loft. There is just one small problem; when she carries things up the ladder to put them back she bashes her knees on the ladder as she balances herself to manoeuvre upwards with each box. She is getting very bruised knees! Normally you can’t see that as they are hidden between her tatty old jeans. However, in the pantomime she is playing the Indian Princess and with a shortish skirted dress – her knees will be visible, and they are not going to look very good covered in green and brown patches. She is going to have a go at fake tanning herself to see if she can cover it all up, but I don’t fancy her chances, particularly with the big purple bruise where Aristotle trod on her earlier in the week!
