It has been a funny couple of days. On Tuesday morning when my Mistress got up the internet came back on from 7.02am and she got all excited, until it went off again at 8.23am! She did as much as she could in that time, but she is getting very behind. We still didn’t have a normal phone line, but strangely the internet worked briefly. Then yesterday the internet was working but the phone wasn’t. From when she got up my Mistress was frantically trying to clear some of the backlog of things she needed the internet for almost like a hungry person who sees food for the first time in a long time. You wouldn’t think that she could remember a time in her life when there was no such thing as the internet or home computers. Now she’s like a little plant that starts to wither if it isn’t watered if she hasn’t got access to the internet! We just sat watching her in total awe and wondering if a dog would ever be as dependant on something as that! Of course the home telephone was still not working, which is causing us all sorts of problems. Mainly it means while we go for our walks we have to put up with our mistress constantly on the phone trying to keep on top of everything. At least it didn’t mean her having to spend quite so long in the village pub using their internet connection!
Our Master is away at the moment so Ari has asked to sleep on the bed again. My Mistress has said if he shows enough progress with his training then he can join us tonight. He is now practicing on his own in the corner in the hope that she is impressed. He’s easily pleased!
