The weekend’s excitement has come to an end and we are all home again. I was very glad to see everyone. I know they wouldn’t leave me, but there are always those little thoughts running through your head, what if they don’t pick me up! I did get into bed with Grandpa again, he didn’t mind too much the first time so I thought it was worth a second shot. He didn’t curl round me in the same way my Mistress does, but it was nice to be snuggled up close and on a decent bed. Shadow hasn’t uploaded her pictures of her and her family yet, so you’ll have to wait to see that. She said seeing six of her children all at one time was great and she felt quite proud.
It turns out that the stud dog she was hoping to go to is away at Christmas so she has to sit down with my Mistress and look at a couple of other possibilities. To be honest, when she’s in season she’s not that fussy so I don’t know what all the time spend on it is all about.
At least that’s the last weekend we’re away for a while, for which my Mistress is very grateful. She says there’s so much to do to catch up that she doesn’t know where to start. I’d offer to help, but I’d only be in the way and I’m at that stage where choosing between working hard or napping is not a difficult choice. I was a little bit stressed being separated from my Mistress so I’ve got home feeling very tired indeed. Today will be spent mostly in my bed, by my Mistress’s side, with her having to remember not to run over any stray ears with the wheels of her desk chair.
