Yesterday was amazing. We didn’t start out too early, which in my book is always a good thing. Then we drove through the mountains from where we were staying by Lake Thun to where we are now near Lake Geneva. The scenery was fantastic, just amazing. We had a drink stop in a really fancy ski resort place called Gstaad where I’m told lots of posh people go. You only had to look at the shops to realise what sort of place it was. My Mistress said it would be nice to stay there, but she didn’t think she would fit in very well, but for an hour it was great. Then we carried on until we stopped in a little village for lunch and sat on the decking outside the restaurant in the sun enjoying the view and in my case having forty winks. I thought that was quite enough excitement for one day but then we got to our friend’s house and I met a one year old Entlebucher girl called Berry who is just lovely. Not the same as my girlfriend, Bella, just a nice friendly girl who wanted to play. We had a run round and a game of tug and I forgot all about my back hurting yesterday. Then we went for a wonderful long walk in the forest and I felt fine. I did have a small disagreement with a Jack Russell and was told off in no uncertain terms, but I’ve still got a vendetta from when I was 16 weeks old and one attacked me. Rationally, I know that one died a few years ago and none of the others have done anything to harm me, but there is a principal at stake. When we got back I was ready to curl up, but Berry still wanted to play. I think she’s got those special batteries that go on forever, whereas mine are the rechargeable ones that only go so long before needing an energy boost.
The apartment we are staying in overlooks Lake Geneva, but it was a bit misty so we couldn’t see too much. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy the view today.
