Why, you might ask, am I wishing you a Happy Christmas? Well yesterday we received a Christmas card from Basil, one of Shadow’s children. His human and helped him make some biscuits as a Christmas present for his Mum. The only problem was that he didn’t put enough postage on the envelope and his human said it really wasn’t worth paying the extra so despite us begging her to go, so we could have the biscuits, she didn’t go to collect them. Well yesterday they were delivered anyway with a biro note saying ‘paid’. Now I’m not sure who exactly paid as it wasn’t any of us so I’m guessing in the end the Post Office took pity on us and decided 5 months was a long enough punishment for not realising it should have been treated as a large letter. Anyway, Basil, do you think the biscuits will still be safe to eat?
Aristotle managed to leave his towel at swimming on Friday. That was all right until I saw the email my Mistress sent them saying she could pick it up when she takes me swimming on Monday. What does she mean take me swimming? I thought I’d got out of that for a while as Aristotle’s need was greater. I didn’t expect her to go booking an extra session so she could take me as well.
None of us has gone to the seminar. We are looking forward to hearing how it goes, but on balance my Mistress thought it would be best if she didn’t have us to worry about. Ah well, we’ll all be pleased to see her when she comes home tonight. I just hope after a long day she won’t mind too much being pounced on when she comes through the door.
