My Mistress is getting ready to pack the car for the breeding seminar. You wouldn’t believe all the stuff she is taking with her. Anyone being daft enough to break into her car is going to get quite a surprise between the fish scales, the ‘lubricant’ , the stuffed toys and of course the thermometer. And that would be before they even found the container of ‘fit and fertile’! Oh the things she does for us dogs! Shadow’s season has not started so if the weather forecast for tomorrow is bad then she is still going. At least then if she is too much trouble or if her season starts she can sit in the car for much of the day. She says she would quite like to go but would rather not be the thermometer guinea pig. My Mistress said she didn’t fancy taking the temperature of something as small as a guinea pig!
Once again I get to look after the vegetables while she is away. Did I tell you the carrots have come through and the parsnips are starting to look very good so I must be doing something right. The apple tree I switched to peeing on, when the replacement one for the one I killed was fenced off, is not looking well. It has now been hosed down thoroughly and fenced off but I think it’s only a matter of time before that too is declared dead. The thing is I’ve struck a deal with the garden centre. I get commission for every apple tree they sell to my Mistress! I’m doing quite well out if it so far, but I might have to move on to the pear if that gets fenced off as well. Life would not be worth living if I started on the cherry tree.
