I forgot to tell you that the people who came to see us the other day gave my Mistress a really cool present. It is an Easter Egg with ‘Entlebucher’ written on it in chocolate icing. Sadly it is not the sort of chocolate we can eat so the humans will have to have it, but it made me smile. I did ask if we could have an Easter egg hunt tomorrow or at the very least a dog biscuit hunt. I’ll have to wait to find if anyone was listening to me or not.
The carrots are now planted alongside the parsnips. The parsnips are all through and need thinning, but it will be a while until we see the carrots. Unsurprisingly, after last year’s disaster, we are not planning to grow either broccoli or cauliflower. Much as we like butterflies, providing them with the perfect environment whilst depriving my Mistress of food is not exactly part of the plan.
We had a lovely walk yesterday. It’s so much nicer walking when it is sunny than when it’s raining. I know that’s partly because I don’t like water but sunshine makes me feel happier anyway. My Mistress even got round to cleaning her car which hasn’t happened in a very long time. It still needs to be polished but that has been deferred until next week. No need to overdo things!
Shadow’s season has still not started but she is very hormonal. My Mistress has resorted to keeping her and Aristotle apart as they are driving her nuts wanting to play all the time. And I do mean ALL the time. We will be glad when Shadow returns to normal and starts behaving like a five year old! Hopefully that is only a few days away. It’s been just over 26 weeks since her last one.
