Now don’t get me wrong, I like going in the car, but I don’t trust my Mistress’s DIY especially where electrics are concerned. She got it into her head that she could fix the problem she had with the stereo which was caused by a loose connection. She decided that if she shortened the cable to remove the bit with the break and then used connectors to lengthen it, then all would be well. My Master disconnected the battery for her so she could work safely and then as it turned out was called into help with a fiddly bit of the repair too. Oh she says it works and I could hear the music coming out of the speakers, from the safety of indoors, but actually in the car she is not the one who travels in a metal crate. I don’t want to find I get a sudden shock when we go round the corner on country lane. She tells me it’s all safe and working, but I’ve seen some of her other diy experiments and I’m not sure I’m willing to believe her.
It’s good to be home after our very short stop in kennels. There really is no place quite like home. I’m glad they had a good weekend and according to my Mistress the show they went to see, Les Miserables, was amazing. The man singing the main part was the stand-in and my Mistress says she could not imagine that the main man could have been anywhere near so good. She was pleased because the stage performance is much closer to the book than the film version, the latter being basically a love story. The real story is much deeper and it did bring my Mistress to tears – so she’s happy, if that does not sound too perverse.
