Sunday 30th March 2014 – Not the weekend I had planned

I had planned a weekend in front of the fire at home, close by my Mistress’s side, maybe a nice walk if the weather was ok and of course lots of fuss and attention. What I had not banked on was to find myself in kennels with Shadow and Aristotle for company while my Master and Mistress went to London to see a show. Ok, it was his birthday present and they are picking us up again today so they haven’t made a long weekend out of it, but that is not the point. What if I had wanted to see the show? I didn’t, but that’s not the point.

Whilst being fed up that he is here, Aristotle is too overcome by with excitement that he is going to see Megan in another week or so, to be too upset. He wonders what she is going to think after all this time. Has she missed him? Will she still want to play with him? He is worried she’s going to have new friends and won’t want to spend time with him anymore. I don’t think he needs to worry too much. My Mistress is excited about seeing her too but hopes that Megan won’t get too upset that she isn’t coming home with her. I imagine there may be a bruise or two caused by the reunion and maybe the odd tear shed. It makes me glad I won’t be on the trip – not that I don’t want to see Megan, it’s just that she picks on me and I don’t need to be picked on.

The decision has been made. My Mistress is taking her courage in both hands and will get on an aeroplane for the first time in about 7 years so that she go and research her new novel. She hasn’t actually booked her flight yet, but she says she is going to do it this week. I only hope she will be ok!
