Thankfully the fire is now working again. Sadly Shadow has taken up residence in the big blue armchair which is the prime spot in front of the fire. I’m just waiting for the argument when my Mistress wants to sit there and Shadow tries to stare her out the way she does with me and Ari. I’m guessing my Mistress will win, but I wouldn’t like to put money on it. I know how stubborn and determined an Entlebucher can be.
My Mistress has got it into her head that she needs to lose a little weight and that she is feeling lethargic because she is overweight. Admittedly she may have a few pounds to spare, but then which if us hasn’t? I think the depressing truth is that she feels lethargic because she is getting old. She may need to take more vigorous exercise too. In the meantime we have the sad problem of watching her saying she is hungry but not giving in to an extra bowl of her homemade cereal here and there. On the positive side, I should see more apple cores coming my way, but I preferred the oat cereal!
There is discussion going on, between the humans, about a possible late summer holiday. There is discussion going on between us dogs as to who gets to go. I think it should be me. Firstly I move way too slowly to mind if the weather is warm, which it hopefully will be. Secondly, Ari is going to Switzerland next month and thirdly Shadow will get a trip to Switzerland when it’s time for her to mate again. That leaves me. I just need to put my case in a convincing manner to my Mistress so that she gives me first priority if they book anything.
