Today is T minus 4 and the puppies are 7 weeks old. They won’t all go on Wednesday, only Cinderella and Cracker but it really isn’t far away now. Their families will be getting very excited waiting for their arrival. The puppies are getting very excited, but obviously apprehensive as well. Today is worming day so we need to get accurate weights so we know how much to give them. The biggest ones will be having a tablet instead of the liquid and the smaller ones the liquid. It will be the first time any of them have been faced with a tablet so that may be an interesting challenge. It’s easy with us, it just gets wrapped in marzipan and we wolf it down. With the puppies that would be harder as they are not yet familiar with marzipan either so might just nibble at the corners which wouldn’t help.
We have to wait for them to be quiet before we can weigh them, but they have had two relatively quiet days and early indications suggest this will most definitely not be a third! Yesterday they went back to sleep straight after breakfast, but that is certainly not happening today and they all appear to be on springs.
My Mistress could do with a quiet day. She had a bad asthma attack in the night and was up for quite a while. She’s feeling very fragile this morning and has asked us very nicely if we could be a little bit understanding. I don’t think the puppies have got the message and I’m not all that sure about Aristotle. The weather is still very stormy which doesn’t help. It seems to leave us all rather on edge. At least the dislodged rood tiles are still holding on to their precarious position at the moment.
Today’s picture is Cosette waiting quietly and beautifully in the hope she will be picked up.
