T minus 5
Sorry I’m late. I didn’t oversleep but it’s been a busy morning. The puppies woke at 6.30 wanting breakfast and then fell asleep straight afterwards so we weighed them and cleaned them out then rather than having to wait an hour for them to sleep. It was gone 8 before my Mistress had any chance to get her own breakfast but she did feed us at our usual time. My Mistress gave each puppy an extra cuddle and wished it happy Valentine’s Day. I don’t think in the future it will be their mum or surrogate mum they want to hear that from but still.
We hardly knew the puppies were here yesterday afternoon. They slept the whole afternoon from lunchtime until teatime without interruption. I’m guessing after their big weight gains that it was a growing day for them. It probably means we are in for trouble today! When they do sleep my Mistress will try to increase the time they have with their blankets from their owners in preparation for them starting to leave next Wednesday.
This morning’s photo is of their last supper with their mother last night. Shadow won’t feed them anymore. They need to be ready and prepared for their big moves.
I’m off swimming again later. I can’t say I’m looking forward to it, but at least I know I can do it if I really try.
