T minus 8! There is going to be such a gap in all our lives when the little people move out. Although it is hard work, my Mistress wouldn’t have them any other way and will miss them very much. Yesterday at the vet she was very proud of them. It is the first year that the boys have not screamed when having their microchips fitted. The only one who felt any pain and told us was little Cuddles and my Mistress immediately comforted her and she was fine. They were all admired by everyone who saw them and as always there was a long explanation to a lady, who was there with her cat, about the breed. Even when they left the lady was still muttering under her breath ‘And I thought I knew most breeds and I’d never heard of them’. My Mistress just smiled as it happens so often. My mistress dreams of a day when everyone has heard of them and their future is secure as a healthy breed. When people do meet us, there is certainly no shortage of ones who decide they want one.
They certainly had a lot of new experiences yesterday, between the drilling and the noises the electrician was making. He’s coming back this morning for a short time too. They followed him up and down the pen as he went past which was very cute.
Other than that today should be a quiet day. They will have some more collar time and if it stops raining will go outside. They do all seem to be on springs this morning and keep jumping in the air from a standing start so it could be a noisy day, until they all fall asleep worn out!
Today’s picture shows poor Shadow being attacked by marauding puppies trying to see if there is still any milk.
