The puppies had a very new experience today. They all had a flannel bath when they had been weighed. It was all a question of having spent too much time running through poo! It also prepares them for getting used to being washed down when they get muddy, which they inevitably will. If the weather is good they will probably go outside for the first time tomorrow. They won’t go out for long but it is always a fun time to see them experience it for the first time.
The weigh in was interesting. Chekov passed 4kg and now weighs 4070g an increase of 110g. At the other end of the scale more than a kilogram lighter Cuddles added 50g to reach 3060g. Cracker overtook Cinderella. Cracker added 170g to reach 3980g. Cinderella added60g to reach 3930g. Casanova added 160g to reach 3720g.Cosette added 80g to make 3570g.
The puppies tried their collars earlier but I didn’t manage to video it today as my Mistress was too busy policing to make sure they did not grab hold of each other’s and cause a problem. It took about five minutes when they first put them on for them to get used to them. Only Cosette had a little panic and ran round like a mad thing. My Mistress picked her up while she calmed down and then put her back in the pen, all still wearing the collar and she was fine. Cuddles and Chekov were the most relaxed about it all.
Today’s video is here http://youtu.be/zr_7E5_P37A watch carefully and you can see the puppies turning their bowls into toys and dumping the food in the process.
Cracker is doing very well. She is a contended puppy and progressing nicely. She is rarely the centre of trouble and quietly goes about growing up. Here she is having some blanket time this morning.
