Friday 7th February 2014 – Day 41 in the little puppy house

I cannot believe how fast the time is going. The puppies will be six weeks old tomorrow and today suddenly they really look like miniature dogs. They are much more vigorous in their play and their movement is way more confident. The office smells a little more too as the only safe way to remove the poo is to either wait until they are asleep or move them all first. They are sitting woofing at each other too which is fun but noisy – we’ve captured some of it in a video for you for later. On the whole they seem to be having a thoroughly good time. Today they are definitely going to be on 4 meals a day – they sort of managed that yesterday but has a little supper top up. Today they are going to have to wait longer for their lunch, which I can tell you from experience is hard work.

I had a little bit of revenge last night. I went to bed before Shadow so I decided to give her a taste of her own medicine and I slept in her brand new bed. I even refused to swap when she came in. She shrugged and got into mine, which I think she already thought was hers anyway. It was a pyrrhic victory but I felt satisfied. Here I am looking smug in the bed.

There is a lot for the puppies to do this weekend. Their food regime now needs to get into swing for when they go home. They will

be having more blanket time and learning to wear collars. They will also have a whole string of visitors tomorrow night who will inevitably be cooing over them. It’s a tough life being a puppy. I will be keeping out of the way while we have visitors – you can have too much of a good thing. My Mistress is also hoping that my Master will take some pictures of her holding each of the puppies so she can look at them after the puppies leave.
