Weight gains were steady rather than good yesterday. It is proving much harder to get this litter onto puppy food. My Mistress has a suspicion that the replacement formula she was using was just too nice to them and they are reluctant to move on. All of them did gain weight and the help that Cuddles is receiving is making a big difference, but they all need to gain at that rate. They didn’t want much at mealtimes yesterday and were very sleepy, but then at 2am they woke my Mistress asking if they could have some more. It looks like today may be an eating day and as I write this Cuddles is calling for food only an hour and a half after her last meal.
Cinderella is doing fine. She added 110g and is now the heaviest at 2690g. She has always taken to the food changes the best so hopefully she is nearly there on the puppy food move. Chekov is only just behind at 2680g, but he only added 40g. Maybe all the excitement yesterday had left him tired out. Cracker is now the same weight as Chekov at 2680g. She added 60g yesterday. Casanova added 40g to reach 2480g and Cosette added 50g to reach 2440g. Little Cuddles added 100g and is now 2170g. The good news is that she was happy with the food she’d had yesterday and refused a bottle at bedtime. Hopefully that means that she has made at least the first complete step of her progression to puppy food. They still have milk from Shadow every main meal, but not at snack times. So Shadow is now going in 5 times a day. My Mistress is going to give it another couple of days before she starts to cut that back.
