Tuesday 21st January 2014 – Weigh in and video

What a difference 24 hours can make. It is very easy to tell they are all now on solids. Although Casanova had bottles for the first few meals, once he was back on track he stopped wanting the top up. Weighing them this morning, some of the gains were so good that my Mistress had to check twice that she’d got the right puppy. Cinderella is now the heaviest. She didn’t have any help from a bottle, she only had the solids she ate herself and her mother’s milk. She gained 200g to reach 2190g. Then Cracker comes in at 2140g, having added 170g. Like Cinderella she is very happy to be moving onto a solid diet. Then comes Chekov. His gain is not so great, but that is because he was doing ok at getting milk before and had started to lap solids as soon as they were offered. He gained 70g to reach 2130g. I am proud to say that Casanova has totally made up the lost ground and is very happy to reach 2000g. He has added 200g since yesterday. Cosette has almost reached the 2kg mark. She added 170g to reach 1980g.  Then there is little Cuddles. She is doing fine and added 110g to reach 1720g. She is well on track and will catch up in her own good time.

They have a few different toys in the pen today, which is great as they are starting to play for a few minutes after eating. They aren’t awake very long but it’s fun to watch them. I’ll try to capture that on video for you for tomorrow. Today’s video is them helping themselves to food and you can find it here http://youtu.be/daAvJi-DzNo
