There is rather more peeing going on than there was, which means the depth of paper below the vet bed is increasing. It won’t be much longer until my Mistress starts cleaning them out twice a day instead of once. The pillow case and fish scales came into play today. Chekov wasn’t so much wriggling as simply flopping over the edge of the scale pan. Cuddles was still weighed in the normal scales which is why her weight is still in exact grams rather than rounded to the nearest 10. My Mistress is going to do some supplementing but by rotation of those who have gained less. She will not be adding anything to Chekov’s diet for a while. The problem is that he is so strong that he always finds a teat and defends it against all comers. He’s not unpleasant about it, he just gently rolls them away so that he keeps his space.
Today’s video is a rather quieter affair but I think that is partly because there was enough milk to go round so no one was desperately hungry and clamouring to get to a teat. http://youtu.be/cSgeCS7bDZY On the bright side, it won’t be that long until they start playing as well as eating and sleeping – but they need their eyes to open first.
So today’s weights – Chekov added 110g and is now 1140g. Casanova only added 50g so will be offered a supplement later, he now weighs 1050g. Cracker reached 1kg by added just 46g, so she will have a supplementary feed later too. Cinderella had the most supplement overnight but not so much milk. She added 56g to reach 990g and will also get a top up today and maybe some help with time on her own with her mum if they others don’t scream blue murder! Cosette only added 44g to reach 900g, so she too will have some special time with her mum and a supplementary feed. Cuddles is still small enough not to transfer to the pillowcase weighing and is now 804g having added 80g. She may get some time with her mum without too many of the others but she won’t have any supplement today.
