The first job was painting the puppy pen. It’s not that we want it to be bright sparkly colours, it is a more a question of not wanting it to have any rust. Don’t worry, there are only odd little spots, the rest of it is fine. Anyway, my Mistress got the paintbrush and metal paint out and touched it up as required. The tin says it takes 16 hours to dry. She tried touching it 14 hours after she has painted it and it was most definitely still wet at that point. She said she’d give it plenty of time so she didn’t get the paint everywhere. It’s now sort of grey with light green patches on it.
Aristotle’s new crate has arrived so he is in the process of packing his things up to move room. Once that has happened then it will be full steam ahead with getting the utility straight. I shall keep out of the way until I am called for as I know from past experience there will be some annoyance involved it trying get things to fit together the right way round.
We’ve been looking at Shadow from every angle, and none of us thinks the litter will be as big as her first one. Ari couldn’t comment as he only saw his mum from the inside. I know she’s got two weeks left to get and we know there are at least 5 but I’m betting on 6. My Mistress is refusing to bet at all and Shadow is just smiling at us in a knowing way. My Master did that man thing of just shrugging, so I’m not entirely sure what he thinks on the matter or even whether he has given it any thought at all.
