My new bed is so comfy. I don’t even feel like getting out of it in the morning to get into bed with my Mistress. I suggested she could get out of bed and come and join me, but it would be a tight squeeze.
Today will be the beginning of Christmas. If all goes to plan the tree is going up today. At least it will if they go to buy it first. I’m not sure quite what the plan is this year. I think my Mistress is thinking of one a little smaller than usual, but then she said that last year and when they came home it was as big as ever. Someone was asking my Mistress whether she had got everything ready for the puppies when they were talking to her yesterday. She suddenly remembered she had put off starting and probably should start thinking about it. She will start sleeping with Shadow from about the 22nd of December which is only another two weeks away. By then the furniture move round needs to have been done and the whelping box built. Ari is asking if he can have a bigger crate as part of all the moves round, but I have no idea where he thinks that would fit. He says he doesn’t need it any taller, but when he lies stretched out, which he likes to do, his nose and tail touch the corners. He looks very cute but I suppose his comfort is more important. I think my Mistress has to get the tape measure out and discuss the possibilities with him.
I’m hoping if the weather is ok that we might all go for a nice walk this afternoon. I think I might have to talk nicely to my Master so he is prepared for the idea.
