For her Christmas present, my Mistress has asked Santa for a time-lapse camera. Most people use them to see things like the progress of their garden through the seasons. My Mistress wants to use it to put together a video of still shots of the progress of the puppies from birth to eight weeks old. She plans to set it to take shots at 10 or 15 minute intervals and then put them all together into a little film. How cool will that be? It will help to make up for the fact that this year’s litter will not be televised like last year’s was. She is planning to do daily videos as well, as she did when Aristotle was born. She may not be able to video the births this time, as that was really quite difficult when what she really wanted to focus on was looking after Shadow and the puppies. At least without the television cameras she won’t have to have the lights on all night once the puppies are big enough to be ok through the night. The upside of that is they are less likely to be scared of the dark and need a night-light on when they go to their new homes!
I need to wish my human Granddad a very happy 88th birthday today too. May you have many many more happy birthdays ahead of you and I only hope that when I reach your age I am as fit as you are, although given that I’m not now, that would be a little surprising. We’re all really looking forward to seeing you later in the week. I’m only sorry that I can’t come with you to see my Master as the baddie in the village pantomime again, but then we have heard him practicing so it’s almost the same.
