Shadow is a happy girl, resting with her paws up. She went to see Falk again yesterday and they had a nice play together before mating. All went well and she was very happy. The one things she said worried her was that one of Falk’s litters was 10 puppies and she wasn’t sure how she would look after 10. She did say that it was easier giving birth to smaller ones so maybe it wouldn’t be all bad. My Mistress thinks Falk is very handsome and now I’m worried she’s going to want to keep another one. I hope my Master reminds her she promised to stop at Aristotle.
Today Shadow will start the day with the vet so she can have her passport stamped for coming home and then she goes to see Falk again. She’ll be worn out then and ready to sleep as they start their return journey.
Megan has settled well and is very happy that she can now sleep amongst a pile of dogs. She and Aristotle are the only ones here who like to snuggle up together, Shadow and I have always liked our own space. Still it takes all sorts. She’s also having a great time playing with her sister and two nieces who she shares the house with. I think Aristotle is missing her more than she is missing him. He’s going to be fed up that Shadow is no longer playful either. He’s either going to have to make his own entertainment of join us being adults. He is two now so maybe it is time to grow up and stop being the puppy of the house.
On the way back along their travels my Mistress is visiting a French Entlebucher. Shadow will have to stay in the car as it is a boy that may be a possible stud dog for the future. He lives within a couple of miles of the route they are taking so it is very convenient.
