It’s an odd day for me today, Megan and I are off to kennels. To reduce my stress my Mistress is going to great lengths. Fortunately the kennel is only a mile ago but we are going in two separate journeys. The kennels have been asked not to give us adjoining kennels or to exercise us together and we will be picked up in two separate journeys on Monday. I do appreciate the length my Mistress is going to. I know it would be far easier if I would just stick up for myself. She has promised to ring me to tell me how everything goes. Part of me is sorry that I’m not part of the day, but it’s stopped being such a fun day for me. I prefer not to have to be around lots of other dogs. I know it would fine if I would just stick up for myself, but it’s not going to start happening now. Anyway, it’s really Shadow and Aristotle’s day tomorrow seeing lots of their family. I had a lovely time seeing my Mum and sister in the summer and they were all very good about that, so now it’s their turn and Megan’s going to get to see her family soon too, so she isn’t being left out. They could only have two dogs in the hotel too, so it makes that easier. My Mistress is a mixture of terrified and excited. Terrified about getting all the breeding test right and not having forgotten anything and excited about seeing so many of the puppies in the afternoon. She will see Addie, Soggeli and Dora (Adrienne, Annette and Avril) from the first litter – Ari’s full sisters and Basil, Dickens and Tucker (Beethoven, Bumble and Bossanova) from the last litter. She’s also looking forward to seeing lots of the other UK dogs including some she hasn’t met yet because they have been born since the last meeting. I’m sure there will be lots of photos.
